History of the winter simulation conference: Modern period (2008-2017)

In this paper we review the history of the Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) during 2008–2017, a period characterized by financial stability, continued growth, and inroads into the new age of simulation. In particular, we trace the modernization of the Conference as well as its expansion outside of the United States for the first time.
